Glacier Water, a fast growing consumer products company, seeks a Senior Utility Technician/Installer who will perform scheduled installations of the company?s water vending and ice bagging machines in assigned territory in accordance with established Best Practices.   Ideal self-motivated candidates for this position will possess, among other qualifications and skills, good customer service and communication skills, mechanical aptitude with intermediate emphasis in plumbing and electrical skills, and enjoy working outdoors with limited supervision.  This position also requires extensive travel with overnight stays, and frequently on short notice.
Partial List of Responsibilities:
·         Performs complete installations, removals and relocations of water and ice vending machines at/to predetermined client locations.
·         Tests newly installed equipment and ensures that it is safe and available for customer use before leaving location. 
·         Identifies points of installation for electrical and water lines to power water vending machines.
·         Performs machine service functions that may require electrical and/or plumbing replacements.
·         Extensive travel weekly. Frequent overnight stays and may require travel on short notice.
·         Drives a company-provided vehicle (24 ft. Truck) in a safe manner and in accordance with company standard operating procedures as well as DOT regulations.  
 
      Requirements/Qualifications:
 ·        High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
·         Intermediate understanding of plumbing (water flow, pipes, valves, etc.) and electrical mechanical devices (i.e., motors, switches, etc.). 
·         Licensed plumber desirable.
·         Valid Class C Driver?s License with a clean driving record and a satisfactory background check will be required.  This position requires DOT medical certification. 
·         Ability to read and write and follow verbal and written instructions, including the use of a procedure/training manual.   
·         Able to frequently lift and/or move 20 pounds and periodically lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
